My goal in illustrating is to capture the vulnerabilities and interpersonal moments that one can feel while portraying a character and the discovery of self in that process.

I want to rid the world of the stigma behind make-believe. It should not be a guest that must pack its bags the minute we become adults. Instead, it is the childhood friend that resumes conversation with us as naturally as if we had never parted.

I believe that fantasy helps us to be able to open our eyes to what lies around us. It helps us to remain present in the little things: laughing with friends, dancing in the rain, or even spending a few minutes watching the sunset. There’s a realness to fantasy that cannot be ignored.
